Welcome to my tutoring website! My name is Alexander Accetta, an experienced K-12 educator based in New York. With a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education in Social Studies from Ithaca College and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from St. Joseph’s University, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my teaching.

As a high school teacher at St. Raymond Academy in the Bronx, I provide rigorous, standards-driven instruction in Regents-level social studies and english courses for grades 9-12.  Other related experience includes:

• ·      Adjunct professorship in writing at St. Joseph’s University

• ·      Elementary and middle school tutoring in literacy and mathematics at NYC STEM Club and Huntington Learning Center

• ·      Curriculum lead for the Westchester Parks Department summer camp.

I have a strong background in developing and implementing engaging hands-on learning activities, while fostering a positive learning environment for diverse learners. 

I am committed to helping students succeed and find satisfaction in preparing them for their futures, whether in college or trade school. My diverse experience and creative approach to education make me well-equipped to provide personalized and effective tutoring in history, English, and social studies.
